It aims to examine the practical execution of the National Policy of Permanent Education in Health in the city of Rondonópolis-MT from the perception of nursings that works on Basics Family Health Units. As a theoretical framework was adopted, it stands out: David Ausubel, Paulo Freire, Moacir Gadotti, Ricardo Burg Ceccim, Julio Cezar Schweickardt. This is an exploratory qualitative descriptive approach. Were selected 5 nurses responsible for basics health units and the manager of the Department of Labor Management and Health Education, for data collection. We conducted semi-structured interviews with selected subjects for data collection. From the analysis of content of speeches emerged the following categories: Knowledge of the policy purchased in the initial training of nurses; Characterization of educational activities carried out by the Municipal Health; Reinterpretation of professional practice; Difficulties in the practical realization of the Policy of Permanent Education in Health in the city. The data revealed that the educational activities carried out by the Municipal Health differ mostly those that the authors conceptualize be Permanent Health Education. However, despite these primarily characterized as Continuing Education, focus on knowledge transfer and technical and scientific updates. Nurses were consistent in stating that his professional practice has been transformed later to these formations, and that they were significant learned for them. The policy not effective in the city, but in the professionals, the activities on the day to day life. For this we highlight the establishment of the Training Quadrangle that is the integration of teaching, service, management and social participation, and this integration in the city, the light of the data, is deficient. The stimulating community participation in wheel conversations by discussing real situations of the service in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team and other municipal health units can be great moments for reflection and practical transformation of the subject. The research does not exhaust the subject, but raises the importance of future research that seek to understand the training of health professionals, the evaluation of the changes achieved in subjects with the use of active methodologies as educational model aiming to train professionals who understand being protagonists in the construction of your knowledge.
