Federal University of Mato Grosso - Câmpus of Rondonópolis (CUR), Mato Grosso (MT), Brazil. Its main objective is to understand how the toy library of UFMT / Câmpus of Rondonópolis (Special Laboratory of Ludicity / Toy Library Prof. Dr. Soraiha Miranda de Lima) contributes to the process of teacher education of Pedagogy academics. For children the playing is the primordial bond they establish between their inner world and the outer world. It is their way of experiencing, interpreting and expressing in an outside-into movement the meanings of the world and creating their own world, their own being. Even though some studies point out the importance of playing as a formative function, are rare the practical spaces within higher education in the universities in Brazil focused on pedagogical practice. Therefore, the study of an academic toy library at UFMT in Rondonópolis is justified. Methodologically, three data collection instruments were used: 1) analysis of acting diaries (on field) of the Special Laboratory of Playfulness / Toy Library Profa. Dr. Soraiha Miranda de Lima from the years 2016, 2017 and 2018; 2) semi-structured interview with two founding teachers of the Toy Library and five Pedagogy students or graduates who participated or participate in the toy library's project; 3) participant observation from the researcher (author) herself. Correspondent to these methodological procedures, a bibliographical study on the foundations of education will be made by seeking: the contributions of anthropological studies on culture ftom Cohn (2000, 2013), Friedmann (1992, 2014, 2015) and Willms (2013); Walter Benjamin's (1997, 2002) philosophical and epistemological reflections on an emancipatory childhood; Vigotski's (2001) approach to Cultural Historical about social interaction, rules, language; and Corsaro's (2011) and Sarmento (1997) studies of childhood sociology on agency, peer culture, autonomy, and child as a producer and transformer of culture. This study asserts the presence of an academic toy library at the university as an initiative linked to the right to play and the commitment to the teacher education focused on the playful culture and supported by the university tripod Teaching, Research and Extension; it also enables an experience that will take academics into a process of meaning and sense production.
