Educação e direitos humanos : as representações das diferenças de gênero na escola

Abstract

Currently, discussions around gender issues have not been restricted only to the academic environment, but to basic education as a whole. Thus, we question whether or not the school has a fundamental role in the reproduction of power relations, speeches and practices that are gendered in school daily life, or whether on the other hand it promotes gender equality, based on problematization, the deconstruction of sexism, heteronormativity and other types of prejudice, which start outside the school and can be reinforced within it. Therefore, the objective of the present project is to understand how professionals in the public basic education network of Sonora / MS deal with the production of differences, with sexuality and with the performativity of genders in the school environment. Therefore, in addition to the documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews will also be conducted with teachers from the network, which after the transcription, the information obtained will be compared with official documents relevant to the organization and systematization of schools, such as: Pedagogical Political Project, Internal Regulation, Curriculum Reference , Lesson Plans, aiming to analyze how to approach this theme within these official school documents, as well as in the daily practices of teachers. It is hoped that the reflections raised by this research, which seeks theoretical support in Butler, Foucault, Louro, among others, will bring contributions to the dialogue around gender issues in basic education.
