Resumo
Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is a species cultivated for more than two millennia and has been cultivated on all continents. This crop is an alternative for the production of oil, and for use in food and industry. The seeds of this species have oil contents that can vary from 35 to 50%. In view of this scenario, the objective of this study was to evaluate the different safflower genotypes sown in the harvest and offseason, in the municipality of Rondonópolis-MT. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design, in a plot plot subdivided 7 x 2, corresponding to: (a) the experimental design was a randomized complete block design in the experimental area of the Institute of Agrarian and Technological Sciences of the Federal University of Mato Grosso, Campus of Rondonópolis. Genotypes (PI- 237538; PI-248385; PI-250196; PI-305205; PI-306596; PI-306603; PI-613366) and sowing times (harvest and off season). Each treatment contained three replicates and each plot consisted of 5 lines of 4 m length spaced apart by 0.45 m. The data were submitted to analysis of variance, Tukey test, correlation, adaptability and stability. The genotypes PI-306596 and PI-237538 were expressed the highest potential. The sowing done in (December) provides the highest productivity yield of safflower grains. Safflower production was influenced by variables, height of flowering plants, number of chapters per plant, dry mass of chapters, mass of a thousand grains. Genotypes PI-306603, PI-613366 showed high adaptability and stability in all the methodologies studied.
